Annual Picnic

The council annual picnic is on Saturday August 15, 2026  and we would like to invite you, your family and friends to join us.

That day is also the Assumption which is a holy day of obligation but the Mass requirement has been lifted because the obligation falls the day before a Sunday, just an FYI.  There will still be Masses at Presentation.

The council will provide the main course of marinated Tri-Tip, Tajine Chicken and Tequila Shrimp appetizers and also beverages, soda, water, beer, wine, etc.

The picnic will be at the Sycamore shelter at Shumway Oak Grove Regional Park.  The picnic starts at noon for snacks and socializing with the main course served at 2:00PM.

In the interest of organizing the following is provided, but if you prefer to bring something else please do so.  Salad, appetizer, side dish or dessert according to the first letter of your last name as follows:
A – F : Desserts
G – L : Side Dishes
M – R : Salads
S – Z : Appetizers/snacks

The picnic is free but the park charges $6.00 per vehicle to enter the park which the council does not cover.

We’re looking forward to seeing our members who are too busy with young families to join us at other events.  So bring out the family and have a nice afternoon at the park.
